Our services.

From preparing your boat for market to managing the final handover: practical brokerage, personally handled.

For boat owners

A complete sale, with someone taking care of the detail.

01

A realistic starting point

We discuss your boat, its condition, history and your plans, then recommend an asking price in the context of comparable boats and current competition. You get a reasoned view and a clear plan for bringing it to market.

02

Preparation that makes a difference

Before photography, we help identify the cleaning, presentation and practical jobs most likely to improve a buyer’s first impression. We also review the inventory and available ownership, VAT and maintenance records.

03

A listing buyers can understand

Clear photography, useful descriptions and detailed specifications give buyers a proper picture of the boat. Downloadable particulars make it easy to revisit the detail, with known issues and information still to be confirmed made clear.

04

Marketing with a wider reach

We build a marketing plan around the boat and its likely buyer: specialist marine platforms, the Waterlife website, relevant social channels and existing buyer requirements. The agreed channels form part of your instruction.

05

Enquiries, viewings and negotiation

Ian handles buyer questions, qualifies interest and arranges accompanied viewings. Offers are discussed with you in context, so you can weigh price, conditions and the buyer’s readiness to proceed.

06

Support through to handover

We coordinate the sale process, liaise over survey and sea-trial arrangements, help work through findings and organise the agreed sale paperwork. Independent surveyors and other specialists remain responsible for their own advice.

Stay informed

A useful update. Every month.

You should not have to chase to find out whether anything is happening. Your monthly seller update brings together enquiries, viewings, feedback and the next action we recommend.

What your update covers

  • Available listing engagement and enquiry activity
  • Viewing feedback and recurring buyer questions
  • Relevant competing boats and price changes
  • Our recommendation: hold, improve presentation or review price

More ways to help

A specific task, or support with the whole purchase?

01

Buying your next boat

Tell us how you want to use the boat, your budget and what matters most. We help refine the brief, discuss the compromises and guide you towards suitable options. Agree any wider search or purchase-support brief with Ian before work begins.

02

Already have a buyer?

If you have agreed a private sale and need help with the next steps, talk to us about a defined scope of support. We can discuss the transaction, the information available and the paperwork needed, with a separate fee agreed in advance.

03

A boat elsewhere, or a gap in the records?

Contact Ian to discuss what is practical for your boat’s location and circumstances. Where title, registration or specialist questions need further work, we help identify the next steps and the appropriate professional support.

Clear terms

Full brokerage at 5% + VAT.
